Australian Student Minerals Venture: Are you a secondary student wanting hands on-experience? Then this program is for you!
The Australian Student Mineral Venture (ASMV) is an initiative of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) Education Endowment Fund (EEF) with the aim of attracting more of Australia's brightest secondary school students to enrol in minerals industry courses at university.
The Ventures are two-week school holiday programs for students in Years 10 - 12, and are held annually in four regions covering Australia. The program offers an action-packed schedule as students travel to universities, mining operations and associated infrastructure, and explore underground and open cut mines, work in university laboratories and visit sites of geological significance.
